Tegan Atkins is a journalist, editor and writer living and working in Naarm/Melbourne.
Currently completing her Masters of Writing and Publishing at RMIT, she also volunteers for Writer’s Victoria, facilitating workshops for Victorian writers.
With a background in journalism, she has contributed to QUT News, The NZ Herald, Newstalk ZB, Orewa and North Harbour News, ABC News and The Courier Mail, among others.
She is naturally drawn to people and their stories, which greatly influences her career.
Her creative writing today considers the darker aspects of society, is character-driven and explores challenging themes through the eyes of children and young adults.
She also provides social companionship to older people as a community visitor volunteer with Feros Care Group.
